Little Big Man just had an 18-month checkup. He clocks in at 31 pounds, 10 ounces, and 34.5 inches long -- approaching 3-year-old dimensions. They also measure his head at these visits. Why? I'm not sure. Dad asked me when I called him one night last week to make sure he's not sitting around in the dark, given Queens' interminable blackout (he's not).
Dad: What are they gonna do if it gets too big? Encase it in concrete?
Me: Yeah, Dad.
Now he's cracking himself up.
Dad: And if it's too small, they fill it with air. That's where you get the term "airhead."
