Modest Goddess

Read with interest the New York Times story on gender identity Sunday, because, as you can see, Little Big Man likes to accessorize. He seems boyish enough -- loves trucks, planes, trains, jumping off things -- but he also loves my pink heels. I also have a beaded necklace I let him wear, and he loves it so much it goes to the library with us and he sleeps with it clutched in his little fist. I'm not worried that he's going to tell me someday he wants to be a girl, but I am enjoying and even maybe a teeny bit encouraging my little fashion maven in the meantime.
